Jonathan Reilly has been fortunate enough to have worked in the Continental Department since leaving university armed with a degree in History having specialised in Medieval and Renaissance Europe. His hastily handwritten CV for what was meant to be a gap year has not been needed since. Thankfully the allure of early printed books and manuscripts kept him away from any other profession, as did the relationships with book collectors and dealers from far and wide, and the added attraction of attending book fairs and auctions in almost all ‘corners’ of the globe. Jonathan has been a Director of Maggs since 2003.
