Modern books

Bonny specialises in Modern Literature and manages our shop in Mayfair. After reading English Literature at Queen Mary University London, she joined Maggs in 2015. She has a particular interest in Gothic literature, fantasy, detective fiction, and women writers. She has broad experience handling modern first editions, and nineteenth century literature.

A few of the catalogues she has been responsible for during her time at Maggs include: Virginia Woolf; Roger Katz, The Writer’s Bookseller; The Works of Dr. Toni Morrison; The Gothic Imagination; and Science Fiction, Fantasy & Dystopia. She also co-curate an exhibition of the writing life of Dorothy Whipple (1893–1966), The Whipple Line, in 2022.
