The first English translation of Hegel's Science of Logic, the first complete statement of Hegel's philosophical system in its full development and the work that earned him international recognition. The Science of Logic was written while Hegel was a schoolmaster in Nuremberg and originally published as Wissenschaft der Logik in three parts in 1812, 1813 and 1816 respectively. It is often referred to as the 'Greater Logic' to distinguish it from the 'Logic' which forms the first part of the Encyklopädie der philosophischen Wissenschaften.
