An excellent intellectual biography of great Norwegian economist Ragnar Frisch by Leif Johansen, one of his closest colleagues at the University of Oslo. Frisch was a pioneer of ‘econometrics’, a term which he himself coined, and the recipient of the first Nobel Prize in Economics in 1969.
