The guardian Marshal Wang has three eyes, and a red beard. He is dressed in battle armor, its right hand holds a whip ready to strike evil-doers. He is also known as Wang Lingguan, Wang Tianjun,  Wang Tianlinguan, Wangtian Shenjun, Yinghua Tianzun etc. and he  the Taoist god who is revered as the Heavenly General and Dharma Protector. Although unsigned and undated this is a high quality leaf from an album featuring Chinese gods, guardians, and other deities that was produced in Canton in the first quarter of the 19th century.
